Job summary

The Emergency Room at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE is seeking an ER Nurse to serve as the first point of contact during health emergencies.

You will prioritize patient care, perform rapid triage, and work within a dedicated ER team to deliver timely stabilizing care. A strong emphasis on teamwork, professionalism, and critical thinking is required, with a commitment to maintaining patient dignity throughout care processes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current RN license valid in the state of practice.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS within 5 months of hire.
• PALS within 5 months of hire.
• NRP within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire.
• ENPC within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.
• Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients as part of the ER team.
• Document nursing care plans and changes in patient condition.
• Engage in activities that benefit patient outcomes, such as mentoring and patient experience initiatives.
