Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Backus Hospital Emergency Department in Connecticut is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN). The unit is a 42-bed ED with Level III trauma status, using EPIC EMR and other advanced technologies.

You will join a collaborative team focused on patient-centered care and professional growth. The role requires BSN preferred, CT RN license, BLS and timely ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI certifications, with opportunities for ongoing education and career development within

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• One year RN experience and/or Nurse Residency program required.
• BLS required; ability to obtain ACLS, TNCC, PALS and CPI within 90 days.
• Current unrestricted CT RN license in good standing.
• Certification in CEN, CPEN or NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process to create a care plan.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Deliver care in a fast-paced ED while following hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintain and grow clinical competencies and certifications.
