Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. The RN will follow established nursing models and advocate for patients and families to support exceptional outcomes.

Requirements include 1+ year ER RN experience and completion of required certifications within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of ER RN experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, and related certifications to be obtained within specified timeframes.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 90 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of employment start date.
• TNCC Instructor or Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and manage pain effectively.
• Document care in patient records promptly and accurately.
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
• Explain non-medical follow-up measures such as diet and exercise.
