Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a dynamic hospital setting in New Jersey. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with a focus on safety, pain management, and family communication.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate's degree or RN diploma, with NJ RN licensure and BLS, and meet unit-specific credential requirements. This full-time role includes a 24-hour weekly schedule and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: None. Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, RN - NJ.
• TNCC and 8h Trauma CNE if assigned to ICU/Trauma units.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification and 8h Stroke CNE if assigned to certain units.
• ACLS within 6 months if assigned to critical care/ER/settings.
• NRP within 6 months for Maternity/ER.
• PALS or ENPC within 6 months for pediatric areas.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients as part of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Ensures patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Supports pain management and both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic measures.
• Assists patient/family in comfort measures and discharge planning.
• Liaises with case managers and other providers to coordinate care.
• Communicates patient condition and care plan to patient and family.
• Documents discharge plans to maximize recovery and daily activities.
• Participates in unit/hospital committees and performance improvement.
