Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols for high-quality outcomes.

The RN collaborates with healthcare professionals, administers medications, educates patients, and participates in emergencies, CPR, and code teams while following infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure in state or compact state required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per the nursing process.
• Documents findings accurately and reports changes to the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans with the team.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Implements infection control protocols and maintains safety standards.
• Maintains comprehensive medical records and participates in audits and quality improvement.
• Engages in professional development and performance improvement initiatives.
