Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking Registered Nurses to deliver professional care across the patient care continuum. The role emphasizes nursing assessments, exams, patient education, and accurate medical records within a team-based setting.

RNs are hired based on experience levels (RN I–RN IV) with emphasis on safety, compassion, personalization, and efficiency in care delivery. This position supports precepting and ongoing professional development within Memorial Hermann’s standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Coordinates treatment plans and develops discharge/transfer plans.
• Participates in system-wide program evaluation and process improvement.
• Addresses diverse patient needs across the care continuum to uphold service standards.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice and competency.
• Ensures safe care for patients, staff and visitors following MH policies and budgets.
• Supports professional growth and mentoring of less experienced staff.
