Job summary

Frankfort Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an ER PRN opening in Central Kentucky. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team and physicians, following established nursing models and organizational values.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, pain management, timely documentation, and education for patients and families. Bring RN licensure and ER experience to join a respected hospital network.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required.
• RN license required.
• 1 Year of ER RN experience required for PRN.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology for understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
