Job summary

Altru Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care on site at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. The nurse coordinates care within the interdisciplinary team, educates patients for safe discharge, and supports ongoing clinical improvement per established policies.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Associates - Nursing or Bachelors - Nursing.
• Required: An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily rounds, coordinates care and responds to patient needs.
• Develops a care plan based on comprehensive assessment.
• Assesses and addresses patient pain per SOP and discharge planning.
• Identifies early deterioration signs and notifies clinicians as needed.
• Documents observations and ensures timely referrals and actions.
