Job summary

The Emergency Room Clinical Nurse position is located in the Emergency Room under the Division of Nursing Service Branch of the Tohono O'odham Nation Health Care Sells Hospital. It provides care to patients presenting for emergency services.

Under general supervision, provides appropriate emergency care and coordinates patient care, including assessments, interventions, and documentation, while collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure timely, quality care.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program.
• Active RN license in the United States.
• One year ER or critical care nursing experience required.
• ACLS certification; CPR/AED required; PALS preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to emergent/urgent patients in the ER.
• Develop plans, assess, and evaluate care to ensure quality outcomes.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and staff; document care.
• Administer meds, IV therapy, oxygen, and other treatments as ordered.
• Supervise and train other staff as assigned; maintain records in EHR.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in standards of care reviews.
