Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Clovis, NM is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to deliver direct, compassionate care to patients with acute illnesses or emergencies. You will rapidly assess needs, triage, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while following clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum ADN preparation required.
• Current New Mexico RN license or eligibility through a Compact State RN license.
• BLS (required for all RN roles)

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care in the emergency department and delegate assignments based on acuity and staff competency.
• Provide direct emergency care and evaluate outcomes with providers to adjust care as needed.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians and interdisciplinary teams for timely treatment.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications and discharge instructions.
• Maintain knowledge of evidence-based practice, emergency protocols and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate proficiency with emergency department equipment and clinical technology.
• Communicate effectively, support teamwork and contribute to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize triage and critical thinking to manage high-acuity situations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and perform other duties as assigned.
