Job summary

Boone Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. The ED Staff Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients with a wide range of illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an active WV RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within the stated timeframes, and will perform triage, care planning, medication administration, and family education while documenting in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active West Virginia RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• PALS certification within six months of hire.
• TNCC certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and obtain current symptoms and relevant medical history.
• Perform triage and prioritize care based on patient condition and acuity.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide basic life support and assist in stabilizing patients experiencing medical emergencies.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Assist physicians with examinations, tests, treatments, and emergencies.
