Job summary

William Newton Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. Provides direct and indirect patient care, triage, and rapid assessment to ensure safe and efficient patient flow.

Communicates with ED physicians and coordinates with the care team to implement and evaluate patient care plans. The role requires a current RN license, with 2+ years in critical care or ED preferred, and completion of mandatory certifications within six months.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state).
• Two or more years of recent critical care or ED experience preferred.
• BLS, ABLS, ACLS within six months; TNCC/ENPC may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department.
• Triage safely, rapidly and accurately for all patients.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments as per policy.
• Communicate with ED physicians about patient status, symptoms, and test results.
• Coordinate with health care team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Document according to current standards and policies and assist with QA/PI indicators.
