Job summary

St. Joseph Health – Bryan/College Station, TX is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced ED. You will perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC with at least one year of RN experience. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Of Nursing, upon hire.
• At least one year of RN experience, upon hire.
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 months.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 months.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 months.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Critical Care experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assessment: assess patient condition, provide nursing care, notify physicians of changes, reassess after interventions.
• Planning: design and document plan of care and discharge needs with the team.
• Implementation: prepare patients for treatments, communicate changes, follow safety protocols.
• Report Skills: provide accurate shift reports for continuity of care.
• Environment & Patient Safety: maintain safe environment, report hazards, support quality and safety goals.
• Supplies: document charges and supplies used for cost containment.
