Job summary

The University of Michigan Health - Sparrow in Lansing, MI is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department with a Behavioral Health specialty to provide professional nursing care in accordance with established guidelines.

You will lead, assess, and coordinate nursing care, collaborate with the health care team, and participate in quality improvement while maintaining a safe environment. A Michigan RN license and ADN are required, with BLS within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse.
• Associate degree in Nursing completed.
• Basic Life Support within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical patient activities in the absence of department leadership.
• Develop and update individualized care plans with the medical team.
• Implement and evaluate care plans based on patient progress.
• Educate patients and families according to assessed need.
• Participate in quality improvement activities within the department.
• Ensure a safe environment and proper use of unit equipment.
