Job summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care, perform assessments, plan and educate as part of the care team. Responsibilities include coordinating care with other disciplines to maintain smooth patient flow and delivering patient-centered education.

Required: California RN license, continuing education, BLS, and prior acute care or classroom experience. Nights shifts and a $7.00 shift differential are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license
• Evidence of continuing education
• Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education
• Current Basic Life Support Card

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care including assessment, plan of care, education, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Coordinate delivery of care with the care team and disciplines to maintain patient flow.
• Educate patients and families as part of the care plan.
