Job summary

Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital in Tennessee is recruiting for an RN in the Emergency Department. The role provides clinical direction for patient care in an acute inpatient setting and requires adherence to safety, infection control and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will assess, plan and implement care with the patient and family, coordinate with the health care team and ensure timely documentation and communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• Education - Associate degree in Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience - One (1) year experience as a registered nurse.
• In lieu of one year experience, Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or comparable residency accepted.
• In lieu of one year experience, 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line.
• In lieu of Associate degree in nursing, nursing diploma with licensure to practice as RN.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical direction for patient care in an acute inpatient setting.
• Develops an individual plan of care in collaboration with patient/family, provider, and interdisciplinary team.
• Updates the plan as patient condition changes and communicates with the team.
• Identifies realistic goals and outcomes to be attained prior to discharge.
• Delivers direct care to assigned patients per the nursing plan of care.
• Delegates nursing tasks appropriately and ensures completion of assignments.

Education
