Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced RN for our Emergency Department in Massachusetts. This non-exempt position works a day shift with 12-hour shifts and a full-time 36-hour week schedule.

Responsibilities include direct patient care using the nursing process, assessments, discharge planning, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safety and quality. A Massachusetts RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Requires Massachusetts RN licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification is required for every RN (ACLS if current).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process to deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per protocol.
• Develops, coordinates, and documents the plan of care including discharge planning.
