Job summary

AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our night shift in a fast‑paced critical care environment. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer meds, and monitor responses to interventions, ensuring safety and quality care.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document thoroughly in the EMR, and lead quality improvement efforts while maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications

• RN required with active license
• BLS and ACLS required
• Preferred: Cerner/EPIC experience
• Preferred: CEN or TNCC certifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life‑threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
