Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department night shift. This full-time role is 36 hours per week, with hours 7pm to 7am and rotating weekends and holidays.

You will assess patients, coordinate the plan of care with the health care team, communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in writing, and tailor teaching to each patient and family. Required: associate degree or BSN from an accredited program, Illinois nursing license, and CPR

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current IL nursing license to practice.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families and health care teams in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individually tailors patient and family teaching to learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating nursing practice quality through quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
