Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Level 1 Trauma Center in the Northeast Ohio region. You will perform patient assessments, triage, trauma care, IV starts, blood draws, and catheter insertions while coordinating with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers in a fast-paced environment.

Required certifications include BLS/ACLS, PALS within 90 days, TNCC within 1 year, and NIHSS within 90 days. PRN positions require one year of RN experience; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and eligible for Ohio RN licensure.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS; PALS within 90 days; TNCC within 1 year; NIHSS within 90 days.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience; certifications must be current at hire.
• Preferred BSN and Magnet-recognized certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and triage in the ED.
• Perform trauma care, IV starts, labs, and catheterizations.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers in a fast-paced trauma center.
• Manage time, critical thinking, and delegating in emergencies.
