Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services (BSVESS) is seeking an experienced ER/ICU Veterinary Technician to join a skilled team focused on patient care, client communication, and ongoing professional development. Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in small animal clinical setting as a technician.
• State license to practice as a veterinary technician preferred.
• Superior technical knowledge and skills.
• Proficient in medical math calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, conversions, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills with clients and team members.
• Proficient time management, ability to problem solve, learn, and handle multiple tasks.
• Enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.
• Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds, and work on feet most of the day.
• Must be able to adjust to changes and handle stress calmly.
• Must be a team player with patience and positive attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver compassionate nursing care with diagnostic sampling, catheter placement, venipuncture, radiography, triage, and in-patient care.
• Support patients experiencing medical emergencies and those admitted to hospital.
• Answer client questions with empathy during stressful moments.
• Assist with procedures and surgeries, including induction and monitoring.
• Obtain health history and ensure accurate EMR documentation.
• Mentor and support fellow team members; continue learning and expanding skills.
