Job summary

Kettering Health Dayton is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) to support the patient care team on a 12-hour night shift. This role blends unit coordination with direct patient care under licensed nurse guidance and relies on accurate documentation in the EMR.

Ideal candidates will have KH Health Coordinator training, Nursing Assistant orientation, CPR/BLS certification, and relevant experience or current student status, with strong communication and multitasking skills

Qualifications

KH Health Coordinator training completed on hire into role.
KH Nursing Assistant Orientation completed on hire into role.
CPR/BLS certification required.
One of: six months experience as nursing assistant or recent nursing assistant course, nursing student, or current KH employee.

Responsibilities

The HUC NA combines Health Unit Coordinator and Nursing Assistant duties on the patient care team.
Supports patients with daily living activities and nursing-delegated care.
Coordinates day-to-day unit activities and maintains patient records; communicates with staff and physicians.
Serves as EMR resource for physicians and health care team.
Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager and supports department operations.
