Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Regional Float. This contingent role supports multiple units across the system with 24 hours/month and midnight shifts.

The position emphasizes rapid assessment, multi-unit adaptability, and high-quality patient care within a nationally recognized health system. The RN will provide direct care, perform assessments, document outcomes, and collaborate with the nursing leadership to maintain safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• Two years of emergency department nursing experience.
• Current Michigan nursing license; ability to float across locations within the health system.
• Current BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across units in the regional float pool.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify potential changes before deterioration.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
• Orient quickly to different units and care protocols within the float pool.
