Job summary

Duke University Health System in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Float Pool. You will provide patient care across ED sites, delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing services as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers a Float Pool position with a $5.00 per hour premium, full-time rotating day/night shifts, and strong benefits including tuition assistance, certification bonuses, relocation support, and extensive nursing development

Qualifications

• Twelve months of Emergency Department nursing experience required.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or eligibility for compact licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (BSN/ADN/Diploma).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Plan, deliver and document patient care following medical plans and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff as needed.
• Support patient and family-centered care and safety within the department.
