ER/ECC Veterinary Assistant- Swing

About the Role:
Emergency and Critical Care Assistants (ER/ECC) play a crucial support role in delivering urgent and intensive care to animals in critical condition, under the supervision of veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians.
Compensation:
- $18 - $22 depending on experience
Schedule:
- Full Time
- Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday, 12pm-10pm
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare exam rooms with necessary tools for each visit.
- Retrieve patient charts from client services or referring departments as requested.
- Obtain vitals, lab work, and diagnostics as directed by doctors or technicians.
- Assist with animal restraint for exams and procedures.
- Care for hospitalized patients: administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform other duties as ordered.
- Clean kennels, runs, wet tables, and treatment areas.
- Assist in ultrasound procedures if needed.
- Perform laundry and basic grooming as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of veterinary assistant experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in English (speaking & reading); multilingual skills are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of veterinary assistant experience involving animal restraint and radiographs.
- Experience in emergency or specialty settings.
- Knowledge of EasyVet or similar medical record systems.
