Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Uptown is seeking an experienced ER Supervisor to lead the Emergency Department, guiding staff, budget and patient care initiatives in a high-volume surgical hospital setting.

The role requires an RN license in Texas, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, and a minimum of three years in acute emergency services, with leadership experience and BLS certification. The supervisor will collaborate with clinicians to maintain high-quality patient outcomes across shifts.

Qualifications

Three or more years in acute emergency or critical care nursing.
Current Texas RN license.
Current BLS through American Heart Association.
Board certification in leadership, critical care, or emergency nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department.
Lead and manage staff, budgets, and outcomes in collaboration with hospital leadership.
Ensure compliance with patient care standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop recruitment and retention strategies for department staff.
Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment.
Coordinate with physicians and other departments to optimize patient care.
