Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide high-quality, individualized pharmaceutical care in collaboration with the ED team at the bedside.

Join a Level 2 Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center in a fast-paced environment, with day and night shifts, to optimize patient outcomes through dosing recommendations and therapy reviews.

Qualifications

• PharmD required or PharmD-equivalent.
• Texas Pharmacist Registered upon hire.
• Experience in acute care or ED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ED physicians to evaluate patient needs and provide dosing recommendations.
• Deliver cost-effective pharmaceutical care and optimize patient outcomes in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
• Support bedside care and participate in team discussions with the healthcare team.

Job Description

The Clinical Pharmacist has the responsibility for the provision of high-quality, individualized, cost-effective pharmaceutical care and integrated pharmacy operational services in collaboration with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life. Pharmacists work closely with our ED physicians at the bedside to evaluate patient needs, comorbidities and provide recommendations for drug therapy and dosing. The Covenant ED is a Level 2 Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center making it a fast-paced environment with high acuity patients that require expert clinical pharmacist support.

This is a Full time, Day and Night shift position.

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD in Pharmacy or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Upon hire: Texas Pharmacist Registered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Acute Care Hospital Pharmacy experience, 1 year or equivalent experience.
• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency.
