Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license issued by Florida or a Compact State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS certification may be required.
• PALS certification may be required.
• NIHSS certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and analyzes the health status of patients in the assigned unit.
• Documents nursing assessments and plans of care.
• Initiates discharge planning with initial admission assessment.
• Plans and coordinates patient care with patient, family and the health care team.
• Directs care activities and communicates plan of care to team.
• Maintains documentation of interventions, patient responses, and follow-up.
