Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Free Standing ED to oversee nursing operations and ensure delivery of high-quality patient care. This role coordinates clinical activities, guides staff, and collaborates with physicians and management to optimize patient outcomes.

The position requires an RN license in Florida or a compact state, an associate degree in nursing, and relevant certifications, with at least two years of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse license issued in Florida or a Compact State.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are required (through ARC or AHA).
• Minimum two (2) years of clinical nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff schedules, assignments, and workloads to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to review patient progress and address concerns to ensure high-quality care.
• Ensure nursing practices align with hospital protocols, regulations, and safety standards.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and ongoing education to nursing staff to improve skills and compliance with best practices.
• Work with physicians, department heads, and support staff to facilitate patient care and address operational issues.
• Manage nursing supplies, equipment, and budget resources to maintain operational efficiency.
