Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Emergency Department. This full-time night-shift role with rotating weekends leads nursing care, directs staff, and coordinates through collaboration with management to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

The CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates care, mentors staff, and supports organizational values while improving throughput and patient experience in a high-acuity ED setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing.
• ACLS within 60 days of start date.
• PALS within 60 days of start date.
• NRP/Neonatal Resuscitation required within 1 year of start date.
• TNCC within 1 year of start date.
• ADN/BSN acceptable within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create a teamwork-focused environment for better outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports nursing strategies to improve engagement via rounds and other initiatives.
• Provides mentoring related to interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management per patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.

RN - Registered Nurse

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
