Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking an Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) to lead the ER team on a 3 days/week, 7p-7a schedule with rotating weekends. This role blends bedside expertise with shift operations, throughput coordination, and clinical mentorship in a Level III Trauma Center network across Cypress, TX.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN, TX RN license (or Compact with TX licensure within 90 days), and current BLS/ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Texas or multi-state compact with ability to obtain TX license within 90 days.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS from American Heart Association required.
• TNCC within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year ER nursing experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care during the shift.
• Lead, mentor, and resource staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate patient throughput and align with unit policies and goals.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, care plans, and follow-up.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely communication with physicians.
