Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT seeks an experienced RN to lead the ED as Clinical Manager. This full-time role requires strong clinical and people-leadership skills to supervise staff and maintain quality patient care.

You will partner with the Nurse Director on performance reviews, budget management, and staffing. Eligible candidates will have CT RN license and extensive leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed and currently registered as a professional Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• Preparation in nursing management preferred.
• Seven years current nursing experience required.
• Minimum of five years leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the effective day-to-day operation of ED.
• Performs performance appraisals with the Nurse Director and addresses staff development.
• Promotes and supports change within the department.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities and collaborates on strategies.
• Serves as a clinical resource and provides staff leadership and development.
• Makes decisions about patient care and departmental operations with critical thinking.
• Assists in budget preparation and cost-saving initiatives; maintains safe staffing levels.
• Ensures a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Acts as a patient and staff advocate.
