Job summary

Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, FL is seeking a Clinical Coordinator for the Emergency Room to oversee day-to-day and monthly nursing scheduling, assignment and supervision across all patient ages.

The role coordinates with the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care plan, monitors care delivery for quality and timeliness, and supports unit activities during evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires active Florida RN license.
• BCLS through The American Heart Association.
• ACLS or PALS or NRP certification preferred.
• EKG competency, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the RN as Coordinator of Care and activities of the multidisciplinary team and/or other agencies.
• Evaluates care delivery, patient satisfaction and works with staff to resolve problems.
• Promotes effective communication using SBAR for handoffs and changes in patient status.
• Completes monthly time schedules and adjusts daily to cover call-ins and shortages.
• Maintains competency as a team leader and participates in direct care delivery as needed.
• Coordinates orientation for new staff and checks staff competencies.
