Methodist Hospital Metropolitan in San Antonio is hiring a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead high-quality, patient-centered care on the unit during shifts and coordinate nursing activities in collaboration with the management team.

The CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s values to support outstanding patient outcomes and department performance.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in state.
• RN degree (Diploma/BSN/ASN) required.
• ACLS/BLS/ENPC/PALS/TNCC certifications expected or obtained within stated deadlines.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of care in the unit with management team.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies to improve engagement, including rounds and initiatives.
• Gives recommendations on interviewing, onboarding, training, evaluations, and policy compliance.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management to meet patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
