Job summary

Methodist Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to oversee nursing care and unit coordination during shifts. The CNC directs nursing activities, serves as a resource for staff, and supports the organization’s vision to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

You will lead admissions/discharges, collaborate with leadership, and implement strategies such as hourly rounds. A Texas RN license or compact license is required, with BSN preferred and at least two years of healthcare

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree registered nurse program.
• Current RN license to practice in Texas or Active Multi-State RN Compact License; Texas license within 60 days if compact.
• Minimum of two years healthcare experience; BSN and 3 years preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission and discharge to ensure throughput and quality care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of care quality with management team.
• Collaborate with experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Support patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Operationalize nursing strategies like hourly rounds to boost engagement.
• Provide input on interviewing, training, and policy compliance; support staff development.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in line with productivity goals.
• Support inventory control and equipment/supplies management.
