Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO is seeking a caring patient care associate to support nurses with basic patient care tasks and documentation. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, respond to call lights, and help maintain a safe, clean environment in a fast-paced unit.

Required EMT certification and BLS; high school diploma or equivalent; strong communication and compassion are essential. Prior unit clerk or terminology experience is preferred in a full-time daytime role within our faith-based

Qualifications

• EMT and EMT-Advanced certifications preferred
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record pain rating, weight, height, intake/output, and finger stick blood glucose.
• Assist with ADLs and bedside support including meals and hydration.
• Respond to call lights, participate in hourly rounding, and report changes to staff.
• Maintain clean, organized environment and assist with supplies inventory.

Job Description:

Obtains and records pain rating, weight, height, intake and output, and finger stick blood glucose. Demonstrates efficiency with safety lights, turns, and positioning of patients to ensure correct body alignment and maintain skin integrity. Assists patients with ADLs, including passing meals, nourishments, and fresh water at bedside. Participates in hourly rounding and answers call lights in a timely manner. Reports changes in vital signs and patient status to appropriate staff. Maintains a clean, organized environment and helps with inventory of supplies and equipment. Follows directions of registered nurses, clinical coordinators, and managers. Supports the unit secretary by answering phones and directing patients and visitors. Delivers and picks up items from other departments and interacts with all ancillary departments. Completes other duties as assigned and proactively anticipates the needs of other team members. Other duties as assigned.
