Corewell Health in Lenox Township is seeking an Emergency Department team member to provide high-quality patient care under RN supervision. You will perform delegated clinical tasks and participate in patient education and care coordination.

Qualifications

• 6 months of relevant inpatient caregiving or nursing assistant experience, paramedic, EMT, urgent care caregiver experience, or nursing student (preferred completion of a Medical Surgical rotation).
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine bedside nursing activities including ambulating, turning patients, and basic patient care tasks under supervision.
• Performs higher-level care tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse, including vital signs, phlebotomy, wound care, catheterizations, and basic procedures.
• Reinforces patient education by explaining treatments and aftercare to patients and substitute decision-makers.
• Documents patient information accurately in the medical record and assists with discharge under RN supervision.
• Maintains sterile technique and assists with equipment and supplies for patient care.
