Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor Emergency Department provides comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages in a 64-bed unit, treating about 85,000 patients yearly. The ER offers pediatric and geriatric specialized care, including a dedicated pediatric unit staffed by pediatricians and emergency nurses, and geriatric screening in a dedicated area.

The ER Tech supports the RN in direct patient care, performing ADL assistance, specimen collection, and accurate data recording to ensure safe, clean,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of direct care experience or completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs including bathing, toileting, positioning, transferring, ambulation, and feeding menus
• Collect and send specimens including blood and blood cultures; manage peripheral IV catheters
• Record patient information and data in appropriate documentation areas to meet requirements
