Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking a Nursing Support Clinical Technician for the Saints Campus Emergency Department in Lowell. The role supports patient care under nursing supervision, performs ADLs, transports patients, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS; CNA/MA and nursing fundamentals completion are preferred. Prior acute care experience is desirable, with weekend and holiday rotations required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; BLS required.
• Preferred CNA or MA; nursing fundamentals completed.
• One year of NA/PCA/CCT/PCT or acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to work under nursing direction in a fast-paced setting.
• Good communication with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and prepare patient rooms.
• Transport patients and assist with meals and basic care as directed.
• Operate glucometer, EKGs, dressings, wound care and splints.
• Maintain equipment and environmental safety; report malfunctions.
• Document patient data accurately; manage charts and admissions.
• Provide patient sitter duties and observe patient conditions.
• Answer phones, screen access and support department security.
• Support labs, x-ray, EKG ordering and scheduling tasks.
• Transport patients using ambulation aids, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
• Assist with peri-operative aseptic tasks and instrument handling.
• Support sterile processing and room turnover as needed.
• Foster a positive, team-based work environment and patient-centered care.
