Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an ER Discharge Coordinator at St. David's HealthCare in Austin, TX.

You will manage Point of Care bedside scheduling as part of centralized ER and Urgent Care follow-up programs, aiming to increase contact rate and scheduling immediacy while improving the patient experience. In this role you will interact with patients, families, and staff in a courteous, professional manner, ensuring service quality and timely communication with leadership and departments.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Speaks with customers, patients and stakeholders in a pleasant and professional manner; Communicates appropriately and clearly with department leadership, co-workers and customers/patients.
• Will schedule patients for follow-up care bedside when appropriate.
• Ensures performance and quality standards are met.
• Provides superior customer service to internal and external customers and patients; Supports the vision and strategy of the organization, positively promotes the services offered, and elevates issues to leadership as appropriate.
• Suggests ideas for positive changes to department policies and procedures.
