Job summary

University Health in Lakewood Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Emergency Department to lead specialized care within a dynamic team. You will provide advanced assessments, guide treatment plans, and perform select procedures under physician supervision in a high‑acuity ED setting.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN, Missouri RN licensure, NP certification, and ongoing BCLS/ACLS credentials, with 3–5 years of clinical experience and strong leadership and

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in Missouri.
• Completion and certification from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Specialty certification as required by Missouri State Board of Nursing.
• Valid Collaborative Practice Arrangement with our organization.
• BCLS and ACLS certification (maintained if required by department).
• 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in the specialty area.
• Proven leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, expert care in collaboration with specialty physicians and care teams.
• Serve as a clinical leader in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex health conditions.
• Perform advanced assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
• Execute diagnostic and/or interventional procedures within your scope, under physician oversight.
• Promote evidence-based practices and support continuous quality improvement.
