Job summary

University Health seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in emergency care at Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. This full-time APRN role collaborates with specialty physicians to deliver high-level, evidence-based care to a complex patient population.

You'll perform advanced assessments, guide treatment plans, and may perform select procedures under physician supervision. Required MSN, Missouri RN license, NP certification, and BCLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• MSN degree from an accredited program.
• Missouri RN license.
• Certification from an accredited NP program.
• Specialty certification per Missouri Board of Nursing.
• Valid Collaborative Practice Arrangement with the organization.
• BCLS and ACLS as required by department.
• Clinical expertise in the specialty area.
• 3–5 years of clinical experience in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, expert care in collaboration with specialty physicians and care teams.
• Serve as a clinical leader in diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex health conditions.
• Perform advanced assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
• Execute diagnostic and/or interventional procedures within scope under physician oversight.
