Job summary

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Plymouth, part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health system, seeks a high-energy, experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our staff of dynamic ED practitioners employed by Longwood Specialty Physicians at its Plymouth, MA site.

Provide direct patient care relative to physical diagnosis and therapeutic management for patients in the Emergency Department working under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner.
• Massachusetts state licensure.
• MA Board authorization to practice licensure.
• American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred but not required.
• Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA.
• Experience in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Center.
• Competency in provision of care to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care relative to physical diagnosis and therapeutic management for patients in the Emergency Department working under the supervision of a licensed physician.
• Patient management / physician support in main ED and manage Fast Track and BHU patients.
