Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Plymouth is seeking a high-energy, experienced Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department team. You will provide direct patient care for ED patients under supervision of a licensed physician, with opportunities to support Fast Track and Behavioral Health units as the department expands.

Qualifications include a Master\'s degree in Physician Assistant, MA licensure, BLS/ACLS, prescriptive authority, and ED/Urgent Care experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant required.
• Massachusetts licensure and MA Board authorization to practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
• Prescriptive authority from MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA.
• Experience in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Center.
• Competency in care for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care relative to physical diagnosis and therapeutic management for ED patients under physician supervision.
• Support patient management and physician services in the main ED, including Fast Track and BHU as needed.

Provide direct patient care relative to physical diagnosis and therapeutic management for patients in the Emergency Department working under the supervision of a licensed physician.

• 46,000 annual ED visits
• Patient management / physician support in main ED
• Manage Fast Track and BHU patients

Job Requirements

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant
• Massachusetts state licensure
• MA Board authorization to practice licensure
• American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred but not required
• Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA
• Experience in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Center
• Competency in provision of care to patients of all ages
