Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional to join our Emergency Medicine team. This full-time role features 12-hour shift blocks, rotating day/evening/night schedules, and no on-call requirements.

The ideal candidate is a PA or FNP with recent emergency department experience, comfortable caring for patients of all ages, and eager to thrive in a collaborative, high-volume ED environment.

Qualifications

• Recent Emergency Department experience as a mid-level provider required.
• Ideal candidate: PA or Family NP thriving in a busy ED and managing complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medicine care during 12-hour shifts.
• Work with 25 EM physicians and 8 APPs in a collaborative ED.
• Participate in a rotating schedule including day, evening, and night shifts; weekends and holidays; no on-call.

What You’ll Champion:

• 6‑week scheduling blocks with 12‑hour shifts: Typically three 12‑hour clinical shifts per week, plus 4 hours of dedicated project or administrative time
• Rotating day, evening, and night shifts: Includes weekends and holidays; no call required
• Team‑based, collaborative practice: Work alongside 25 Emergency Medicine full-time physicians and 8 full‑time Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with strong clinical support
• Ideal candidate profile: A motivated, high‑performing Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner who thrives in a busy emergency department and enjoys managing complex cases
• Experience requirements: Recent Emergency Department experience practicing as a mid‑level provider required; must be comfortable caring for patients of all ages
