Job summary

BTIG seeks a highly motivated Equity Sales Trading Assistant to join our Miami office. This role ensures execution, allocation, and settlement of trades in a fast-paced environment, requiring sharp attention to detail and client focus.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics/Business and 1–3 years in financial services. Proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg is preferred, with FINRA licenses a plus. A proactive, team-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
1–3 years in financial services, trading, brokerage or middle-office.
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Bloomberg.
Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Assist Sales Traders with order entry, trade allocations, and trade booking.
Serve as liaison between trading desk, clients, and operations to resolve breaks and settlement issues.
Provide daily support to institutional clients on trade status, holdings, and allocations.
Assist with client onboarding, including KYC/AML, account opening, and data accuracy.
Generate and distribute daily trading, commission, and P&L reports; maintain desk records.
Monitor real-time market data and systems to ensure smooth operations.
