Job summary

Thornburg Investment Management in Santa Fe, NM seeks a Portfolio Specialist to act as the investment strategy expert and product champion for assigned Thornburg equity strategies. You will lead positioning, messaging, and client-facing materials while working closely with sales, consultant relations, and investment teams.

The role emphasizes communicating strategy narrative, risk/return dynamics, and competitive differentiation, with occasional travel (<10%).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the investment management industry.
• FINRA Series 7 & 66 required (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• CFA or progress toward CFA designation preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Master and communicate essential product features, benefits, and risk terms.
• Oversee updates to marketing collateral and client reporting materials.
• Develop research/white papers to support Thornburg strategy and thought leadership.
• Develop product strategy, pricing, and go-to-market plans for assigned strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to drive awareness and engagement.
• Coordinate with Morningstar and other partners for strategy messaging.
