Job summary

Citigroup Inc.'s Equity Research team seeks a Senior Associate to join its Technology & Communications sector, co-authoring institutional notes, building sophisticated financial models, and shaping Citi's thought leadership through publications, multimedia, and industry events.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of sell-side equity research experience focused on Technology & Communications.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, or related field.
• Strong ability to build and maintain complex financial models with solid accounting and valuation knowledge.
• Experience preparing research materials and client-facing communications for senior analysts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active holding of, or eligibility to obtain, SIE, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87 licenses.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage priorities under time-sensitive conditions.

Responsibilities

• Author and co-publish equity research across the Technology & Communications sector, including earnings previews and recaps, initiation reports, and thematic deep-dive notes distributed to institutional clients.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models covering relative value analysis, earnings forecasts, and scenario modelling to underpin well-reasoned investment recommendations.
• Deliver timely, informed perspectives to internal and external clients on sector developments and covered companies, responding to inquiries with clarity and precision.
• Coordinate investor events including management meetings, company field trips, and industry consultant calls, ensuring a high-quality client experience from end to end.
• Integrate AI tools and emerging technologies into research workflows to improve data analysis, accelerate publication cycles, and raise the overall quality of outputs.
• Mentor junior team members through hands-on guidance and knowledge sharing, contributing to a high-performing research environment.
• Uphold the integrity of all research outputs by exercising sound judgement and adhering to regulatory and ethical standards across all investment-related activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to construct and maintain complex financial models, with a strong command of accounting principles and valuation frameworks.
• Experience preparing research materials and client-facing communications in support of senior research analysts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate nuanced financial analysis into clear, compelling research narratives.
• Active holding of, or eligibility to obtain, SIE, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87 licenses.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities accurately under time-sensitive conditions.
