Citi’s Equity Research team seeks a Senior Associate to cover the Communication Services & Infrastructure sector, delivering high-quality insights that guide global equity investors. Based in a team known for independence and depth, you will contribute to research generation, client engagement, and analytical excellence.

You will build financial models, support senior analysts, and mentor juniors in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a strong compliance framework and client-facing

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in equity research or a closely related investment analysis role.
• Solid grounding in accounting principles and financial modelling within equity research.
• Experience supporting senior equity research analysts in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex investment ideas clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to validate multi-source financial data.

Responsibilities

• Produce equity research publications across the sector, incl. earnings previews and recaps, initiation reports, and thematic notes.
• Build and maintain financial models, develop new frameworks, and sustain relative value analysis.
• Advise internal and external clients on sector developments with timely, well-reasoned analysis.
• Collaborate with lead analyst to translate data into actionable investment insights for a global client base.
• Coordinate investor events ensuring high-quality client experiences and smooth execution.

Citi's Equity Research team is looking for a Senior Associate to support coverage of the Communication Services & Infrastructure sector, delivering high-quality investment insights that shape the decisions of equity investors across the globe. Based within a team recognized for its independence, objectivity, and analytical depth, you will play a meaningful role in producing research, engaging clients, and driving analytical excellence across one of the most dynamic areas in global markets. Responsibilities

• Produce equity research publications across the Communication Services & Infrastructure sector, including earnings previews and recaps, initiation reports, and in-depth thematic notes.
• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models for covered companies, developing new frameworks and sustaining relative value analysis to support ongoing research coverage.
• Advise internal and external clients on sector developments, delivering timely, accurate, and well-reasoned analysis in response to investment inquiries.
• Partner with the lead analyst to develop research ideas and translate complex financial data into clear, actionable investment insights for a global client base.
• Coordinate investor events including management meetings, field trips, and industry consultant calls, ensuring seamless execution and a high-quality client experience.
• Assess the reputational and regulatory context of business decisions, maintaining Citi's standards of compliance and ethical conduct across all research activities.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performance research culture grounded in knowledge sharing and analytical rigor.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5 to 8 years of experience in equity research or a closely related investment analysis role.
• Solid grounding in accounting principles and financial modelling applied within an equity research context.
• Demonstrated experience supporting senior equity research analysts in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment ideas clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and validate complex, multi-source financial data accurately.
• Active FINRA licenses — SIE, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87 — or a confirmed commitment to obtain and maintain these licenses upon joining.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• MBA, graduate degree, or CFA designation — or active progress toward completing one.
• Sector knowledge or prior coverage experience within Communication Services, Infrastructure, or adjacent industries.
• Experience in an informal leadership capacity within a research team, including involvement in coaching or onboarding colleagues.
