Job summary

BMO Capital Markets, a leading financial services provider, seeks a Senior Equity Research Associate or VP to join the U.S. Financials team in New York.

You will work closely with senior analysts to develop, market, and deliver equity research products, requiring strong analytical skills, client interaction, and a passion for the stock market. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of equity research experience in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of equity research experience in the U.S. Financials space
• Strong accounting and finance skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to interact with company management teams and clients

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed company models (IS/BS/CF)
• Analyze financial statements and news related to industry coverage
• Analyze company filings (10-K, 10-Q, earnings releases) and transcripts
• Write equity research reports and develop investment theses
• Participate in site visits and management meetings
• Maintain and analyze industry data
• Communicate investment recommendations to clients
• Collaborate to develop tools/processes for industry/news dissemination
• Help establish industry/regulatory relationships to predict trends
